學校研究生教育始于1978年，同年開始恢複招收碩士研究生；1984年獲評博士授予單位，1988年開始招收博士研究生；1998年獲批“臨床醫學專業碩士學位”授予權；2000年獲批“口腔醫學專業碩士學位”授予權和“七年制臨床醫學專業碩士學位”授予權；2009年獲批“臨床醫學博士專業學位”培養單位。目前校內共有9個二級學院、5所直属附屬醫院承担研究生培养工作；校外研究生培养基地17個，保證了研究生的臨床實踐條件。

學校現擁有醫學、理學、工學、管理學4大碩士、博士學科門類，共有博士後科研流動站4個，一級學科博士學位授權點3個，二級學科博士學位授權點1個，博士專業學位授權點1個；一級學科碩士學位授權點10個，碩士專業學位授權點5個。其中臨床醫學博士專業學位授權點是廣西目前唯一一個博士專業學位授權點。

學校建設了一支結構合理、相對穩定的師資隊伍，培養和造就了一批學科帶頭人、後備學科帶頭人和學術骨幹。目前擁有學術型博士生導師163人，專業型博士生導師59人；學術型碩士生導師486人，專業型碩士生導師386人。

繼續教育学院主要承担成人高等学历教育、高等教育自学考试学历教育以及全科医生转岗培训、进修生教育教学等非学历教育工作。

學院在區內外設有31個教學點，開設臨床醫學、護理學、藥學、預防醫學、口腔醫學、醫學檢驗、中藥學、公共事業管理（衛生事業管理方向）、醫學檢驗技術、醫學影像技術等8個本科專業，6個專科專業，2個自學考試開考專業。目前，成人教育在校生22694人，自學考試在籍考生38036人，其中自學考試專本銜接生1768人。

學院教學管理規範，辦學經驗豐富、師資力量雄厚、多年來培養各類學生約12萬多人（次），曾被國家教育部、自治區教育廳分別授予“高等教育自學考試工作先進單位”，自治區招生考試院授予“成人高等教育評估優秀學校”等榮譽稱號。

广西医科大学繼續教育学院

Guangxi Medical University is located in the beautiful city of Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Nanning is known in China as the “Green City” and the “Garden City”. Here, the air is fresh, the view is panoramic, and the weather is temperate.

Founded more than 80 years ago in the year of 1934, Guangxi Medical University or, GXMU, is a high-level teaching-and-research-oriented medical university.GXMU is one of the 22 oldest medical institutes in China. It is now one of the key universities with strong support of the Regional government. It is also the center of medical education, research, treatment and prevention, as well as health care in Guangxi.

GXMU boasts a well developed medical education system, including undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs, as well as other training and continuing educational programs. GXMU currently has 26 institutes offering 18 undergraduate programs, 3 affiliated hospitals and 10 non-affiliated hospitals. It is home to over 16,000 full-time students, including more than 800 international students, and growing. Over the years, more than 50,000 full-time medical students have graduated from GXMU, many of whom have gone on to become the backbone of medicine here locally in Guangxi.
